Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last week, slaughter lambs sold mostly 10.00-20.00 lower on moderate demand. Slaughter ewes traded mostly steady on good demand. Prices dropping this week as get away from the holidays. Slaughter supply consisted of 77 percent lambs, 18 percent slaughter ewes, and 5 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred weight,on actual weights.
Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn Choice and Prime 2-3 50-60 lbs 182.00-190.00; 60-70 lbs 165.00-175.00; 70-80 lbs 180.00-190.00. Wooled and Shorn Choice and Prime 3-4 50-60 lbs fancy 217.00-250.00, fancy hair lambs 237.00-242.00; 60-70 lbs fancy 217.00-235.00. Wooled and Shorn Good and Choice 1-3 60-80 lbs 145.00-157.00, hair lambs 140.00-150.00; 80-110 lbs 120.00-147.00, hair lambs 120.00; 100-120 lbs 152.00. Wooled and Shorn Utility and Good 1-2 60 lbs 132.00; 80-120 lbs 110.00-118.00.
Slaughter Ewes: Good 2-3 Medium Flesh 90-170 lbs 78.00-90.00. Utility 1-2 Thin Flesh 125-150 lbs 50.00-80.00; 160-195 lbs 52.00-72.00; 225-250 lbs 62.00-67.00.
Slaughter Bucks: 105-160 lbs 48.00-85.00; 200-210 lbs 67.00-100.00.
Slaughter Goats: When compared to last week, slaughter kid goats sold mostly 10.00-20.00 lower with moderate demand. Nanny goats sold 10.00-20.00 lower on moderate demand. Slaughter billies sold mostly weak. Slaughter supply consisted of 60 percent Slaughter Kids, 25 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 15 percent bucks/billies and wethers. All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
