Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last Monday, slaughter lambs sold mostly steady with moderate demand. Slaughter ewes traded 5.00-10.00 lower with moderate demand. Sheep and Lamb supplies were considerably higher than last week. Slaughter supply consisted of 86 percent lambs, 10 percent slaughter ewes, and 4 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights.

Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week`s sale, slaughter kids sold mostly 5.00-10.00 lower. Nannies sold 10.00-20.00 lower. Demand was moderate for goats overall. Slaughter supply consisted of 54 percent Slaughter Kids, 29 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 17 percent miscellaneous stock. Demand continues to improve as clean-up continues after Hurricane Sandy. All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
