Sheep and Lambs: When compared to last Monday, slaughter lambs sold mostly 10.00-20.00 higher on good demand. Several very good quality light weight lambs in the offering. Slaughter ewes traded mostly 5.00-10.00 higher on good demand. Slaughter supply consisted of 78 percent lambs, 17 percent slaughter ewes, and 5 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights.
Slaughter Lambs: Non-Traditional Markets: Wooled & Shorn Choice and Prime 2-3 50-60 lbs 170.00-175.00; 60-70 lbs 160.00-182.00; 70-80 lbs 154.00-174.00; 80-90 lbs 138.00-158.00; 90-105 lbs 140.00-160.00. Wooled and Shorn Choice and Prime 2-4 50-60 lbs 216.00-248.00; 60-65 lbs 220.00-236.00. Slaughter Bucks: 120-150 lbs 75.00-92.00; 160-200 lbs 80.00-98.00; 200-250 lbs 58.00-66.00.
Slaughter Goats: Compared to last week`s sale, slaughter kids sold mostly 5.00-10.00 higher. Nannies sold 10.00-20.00 higher. Demand was good for goats overall. Slaughter supply consisted of 71 percent Slaughter Kids, 14 percent Slaughter Nannies, and 15 percent miscellaneous stock. All Goats are sold by the head on estimated weights.
