Compared to last week’s sale, slaughter steers and Holstein steers sold 1.50 to 2.00 higher. Slaughter heifers sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher. Non-Traditional markets refer to lambs destined for slaughter outside of what would be termed as traditional markets. Sheep and Lambs: Compared to last Monday, slaughter lambs sold 15.00 to 20.00 lower. Slaughter ewes sold 10.00 to 12.00 lower. Demand light to moderate with moderate trade. Slaughter supply consisted of 73 percent lambs, 21 percent slaughter ewes, and 6 percent miscellaneous stock. All sheep and lambs are destined for non-traditional markets. All sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights.
